Sometimes the job ends when the raw videotapes are handed over to a visiting producer (or shipped out via Fed-Ex), other times with the delivery of a stack of DVDs containing a finished program.
On digital photography assignments, photos are burned to CD-R, e-mailed, or uploaded to a password-protected, client-accessible, FTP site.

The proper equipment and best available crew is assembled for each job on a case-by-case basis. Mini Bio: Randy Schmidt has been in Tokyo for nine years. He was employed as a Staff Cameraman for the CNN Tokyo Bureau and as a Production Manager for Reuters Television. Prior to his arrival in Tokyo, Randy (a UCLA Film School graduate) worked in the motion picture industry, primarily at 20th Century Fox, and for the producers of 9½ Weeks, RoboCop, Die Hard 2, The Rocketeer, Another 48 Hrs., and Field of Dreams. |
